The text-transform property, character case

You can also use CSS to control the case of characters: you can make letters lowercase or uppercase. This is done using the text-transform property. It can take the following values:

  • lowercase — It formats everything as lowercase;
  • uppercase — It formats everything as uppercase;
  • capitalize — Every word starts with a capital letter;
  • none — It cancels any change to the case.

Use text-transform for a visual change in letter case while keeping the text in HTML in its appropriate case. CSS changes the presentation without rewriting the source text. Screen reader behavior can vary.

Without further ado – let’s start practicing!
